Aloha Maui Country Club ‘ohana!
It’s a misty, moody morning in the valley, with a still in the air that matches the calm that many of us are experiencing. Settling into our lives at home, we’ve begun to develop new routines, which although they’re different from ones we’ve become used to, in many ways are just as rewarding—given the newfound “time” we may have for hobbies, reflection, and family.
Hopefully this daily country club blog can become a part of that routine, as we aim to provide you with content that’s centered around your favorite activities. We still want to help you feel connected with the club, and mahalo to everyone who’s been staying touch, whether it’s an email, a phone call, a mention on social media, or stopping by the virtual happy hour to see a familiar face.
We hope everyone has a beautiful, healthy Thursday and hope to see everyone soon!

Maui Country Club Trivia
While a lot of longtime club members already know how Spreckelsville got its name, there may be some new members who aren’t familiar with our neighborhood’s early history.
The area is named for Claus Spreckels—a successful German-American businessman who got his initial start in beer brewing but soon moved on to the booming sugar business of 19th century Hawaii. One of his most notable accomplishments is working to establish a system of irrigation ditches to bring water to Central Maui’s fields, and for more info on the neighborhood’s namesake, check out Images of Old Hawaii for his full bio and stories.
My Maui Country Club At Home
Chef Sean sent us this photo of his daughter, Aria, enjoying some Upcountry paddleboarding with a pool, surfboard, and canoe paddle. Way to get creative!
