Aloha Maui Country Club ‘ohana!

Here’s info on your favorite club activities for Saturday, April 18. It’s forecast to be a beautiful weekend for going outside, getting on the water—or even just soaking up sun on your lanai if sheltering in place at home.

We’re staying busy down at your club with improvements, maintenance, and discussion on ways we’ll move toward a gradual re-opening. In the meantime, we love seeing familiar faces during takeout and everyone out taking a stroll on the golf course and staying active outdoors.

We love hearing about what everyone’s been up to, so keep the photos and emails coming—we hope to see everyone soon!

Club Dining

As a courtesy to our staff (and to stay compliant with the new government mandates), all members picking up takeout are asked to wear a mask. Mahalo!

Tennis

USTA Legue Tennis Refund

Good news! Even though nothing can replace the fun we were having this year in league tennis, if you were registered to play on an 18+ Mixed team or a 55+ team, you can use this form to request a refund of the league entry fees and dues.

Just ask your Captain for the team number and the rest is pretty straightforward.

Golf

We know…we know…Tiger Woods gets all the highlights. But seriously—this aptly-named video (“Tiger The Artist”) is an absolute masterclass in imagination and creativity. Watch below to experience it for yourself—makes us want to get on the course!

Speaking of Tiger Woods, he’ll be inducted into the 2021 Golf Hall of Fame along with Marion Hollins—a woman who helped design Augusta National as well as Cypress Point. Check out this article from Golf.com to learn more about this trailblazing woman and all she’s done for the sport.

Fitness

PE class is officially in session! If it seems like day 397 of having the kids in the house, here’s a family workout routine that will help the whole household work up a little sweat.

To help out a local island instructor, there’s a virtual yoga class with 10Ya Yoga tomorrow at 9am. Get more details and register here—it’s always fun to find new instructors!

Pickleball

Now that all you driveway pickleball players have started to master your skills, it’s time to start working on pickleball strategy to up your game to the next level.

This short tutorial will show why it’s ineffective to hit your return up the middle—even if it seems like the “safer” play with the greatest margin for error.

Date: November 15, 2015 – Throwback to that one time kids were actually allowed to ride their bikes on the tennis courts! We were putting a new surface on courts 1 and 2 and figured if we had a big asphalt rectangle we may as well throw a bike party!
