Aloha Maui Country Club ‘ohana!
It’s a gorgeous Aloha Friday here on the North Shore, as the first few hints of the summer season are drifting on the easterly breeze.
Hopefully, soon, we can gradually get back to the club activities we enjoy this time of year, and until then we’ll keep you informed with the daily specials, pics from the club, and updates on what your fellow members have been up to while sheltering at home.
We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back, and if you want to connect with a familiar face (or maybe meet a new one!), drop in and say hi at our virtual happy hour this evening at 5pm!
Aloha Friday lunch at the club! Tasty and casual lineup for lunch that reminds us of days spent dining in the sun. Perfect grinds for fueling back up after a morning workout on the beach!
Check out today’s specials to go along with our daily takeout lunch menu.
Fish Special: Fish Tacos – $10
Plate Lunch Special: Teriyaki Chicken – $13
“What’s with the Rice?” Special: Kalua Pork and Cabbage – $7
Open for takeout 7 days/week from 11am-3pm (yes, even Monday!) Call (808) 877-4690 to place your order for takeout!
Why have we been watching highlights of the pros when we could re-live THE POINT OF THE YEAR! Here’s a throwback to last year’s Calcutta where Mino Mclean and Micah Nickens staged an epic battle against Mark Reedy and Kim Wilson that came down to the final point!
*Fun behind-the-scenes fact about this point: Micah incorrectly thought this was match point, hence the enormous claim (which we love!)
Be honest—have you hit into the bunker by the #9 green yet? The new one fronting the clubhouse? If so, here are three handy tips for getting out of the sand that will help to salvage the hole.
Know what’s important? Drinking water. That, and taking time to stretch.
If you only have a few minutes in the morning, here’s a simple, 10-minute stretching routing you can use to kickstart your day.
Do you know the grip size of your pickleball paddle? If not, there’s a chance you’re using an incorrect paddle that isn’t quite right for your hands.
What’s the best pickleball paddle for beginners? What about the length of the handle? There are dozens of options for pickleball paddles—what should I look for when buying one?
In this masterful article from Pickleball Central you’ll not only find all the answers to these questions, but also a rundown of 80 different paddles that shows weight, price, handle length, and width—great resource for buying your first paddle!
