In an effort to help our members stay active and safe, we’ve curated this list of island fitness instructors who are offering virtual classes.
A few instructors have brought their classes back to the Club as guidelines have loosened, and they are listed first below.
Other classes are held via Zoom (click here to create a free account) and are often funded by donations. This is a challenging time for island instructors, and many have transitioned to virtual workouts to help keep us active, healthy, fit, and connected while we’re at home.
Yoga, Breath, and Alignment with Danielle Richardson
Danielle is back with an outdoor sunset class on the Makai Lawn
Tuesdays @ 5:00pm for Members only, $10 per class
Beginners and the flexibility-challenged are especially encouraged to attend! In this beginner friendly class, you’ll learn to practice yoga asana safely and effectively. Going at a slower pace and focusing on basic alignment principles, healthy body mechanics, and interdisciplinary yoga techniques to reduce stress, increase vitality, and establish the foundation for personal health and wellbeing.
Baptiste Yoga with Reda Boustani
Reda’s practice is Wednesday @ 8:00 am on the Makai Lawn
Members only, $10 per class
This 60-minute power flow class is based on Baptiste Yoga. This class will tone, strengthen, and rinse your body, clear your mind and leave you with a sense of accomplishment and empowerment.
The dynamic mix of sweat and spirit that is cultivated in a Power Yoga class will challenge you to not only step up to your edge, but also unlock your hidden potential for achieving authentic personal power and living an extraordinary life. Open to all levels, this class will help you build strength, flexibility, and cultivate mind and body awareness, living life one breath at a time.
Gentle Yoga with Amy Lohr
Amy’s class has returned to in person, on the Makai Lawn for Members Only
Friday mornings @ 8:00, $10 per person

The former owner of Soulasana yoga studio in Kahului, Amy offers a wide range of virtual classes including, Yin, Gentle Yoga, and Sculpt and Flow with an empowering, uplifting, and positive spirit that will energize your day. Gentle Yoga with Tommye Jones
Time: Fridays @4:30pm for the month of May/ Cost: Donation based

Designed to help you on your way towards better health & wellness, this class, while Iyengar based, has influences from the other great teachers as well. The primary focus is proper breathing and body alignment, and encourages the use of props and holding poses longer versus moving quickly from pose to pose. This class is excellent for beginners and long time practitioners that enjoy a more restorative / therapeutic style of practice that reduces and brings the body into balance.
Time: Thursdays @9am / Cost: Donation based
Certified yoga instructor Jackie de Crinis teaches a balanced class that begins with a 30-minute sequence of a gentle yoga flow to warm the muscles and tone the body. Followed by 30-minute sequence of stretches that ease tight muscles and soothe the nervous system. Designed for beginner-intermediate yogis, but all levels are welcome.

Lorena is part of the Seeking Harmony non-profit team whose goal is to provide classes to help our community develop self-healing practices to prevent illness, promote wellness, and live longer, healthier, happier lives. The class starts with a 5 minute meditation and then we move into a gentle Chi Kung/ Tai Chi practice to calm the mind with intentional breathing to rejuvenate and vitalize the body, support the immune system, and strengthen the joints and muscles in the body.

For the past twenty years Tenya been teaching yoga classes, workshops, and retreats all over the world, including ten years in London, England. Her philosophy embraces the physical, spiritual, and healing qualities of yoga, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, peace, honesty, and mindfulness in order to find self-realization.

Passion of Movement with Morgan Torres

Morgan truly believes that the body should move in many different ways. There is no one exercise that works for everybody. In addition, changing the way the body moves keeps the mind stimulated and the muscles challenged, which is how she came up with the name “Passion of Movement.” Morgan has been teaching a variety of movement since 2003. She loves what she does and enjoys helping people achieve their personal goals. She will be offering a variety of classes from fitness, to pilates, core power yoga, cardio, barre and much more. No equipment necessary. Two week commitments preferred. $10/ class. Zoom app required. Accepts Venmo or PayPal.

My specialty is training water sports professionals and recreational enthusiasts; while using the incredible natural surroundings of Maui, especially the ocean. My goal is to instill new skills and confidence to motivate and inspire people to be more than they could ever be and to try things they’ve never tried before.
