Course Superintendent Ozzy Cardenas announced that for the first time in recollection, the entire golf course will be aerated. “We are used to greens aeration, but when we learned that the tees and fairways would be included our Greens/Golf Committee was really surprised,” said Club General Manager Russell Goshi. This complete aeration will be done using the long 5/8” tine to open up the surface that becomes compacted during the winter months. Spring aeration strengthens the grass from the roots, producing healthy turf that stands up better to the stress of usage and changing weather. This Monday, May 9th the course will be closed for the entire day for this welcome improvement.
