This term appears everywhere in our lives, and rolls off our tongues without a second thought; health care insurance, Healthcare.com, Healthcare.gov, etc. In reality few of us go to the doctor until something “happens” that disrupts our ability to function smoothly. Even then many people still won’t go because they’re sure the doctor can’t really do anything about “it”, or what they believe can be done isn’t what they want, such as surgery. What many of us have is really unhealth care. We wait until we’re unhealthy, and then we take care of it…maybe.
The beauty of acupuncture, and other healing modalities is that it can truly be health care. When we are young our bodies knew how to heal, but as the stressors in our lives take their toll, our bodies have a more difficult time doing their job as easily. The electrical pathways/neurological connections misfire, become weak, or too strong then dis-ease arises. Placing little tiny pins in just the right places can open up those pathways and assist the body in doing what it does best – keeping us healthy and strong, healing ourselves.
This is truly health care! You don’t have to wait for the thing to “happen” to get care. You can choose to take care of your health now.
